If you are over 30 years old, you can now take a test to show you if you have an increased risk of heart attack or stroke.

Public Health England, a UK Department of Health and Social Care, urged Britons who are over 30 years of age to undergo online testing to learn the age of their hearts and to be be informed about the increased risk of heart attack or stroke.
You can also take the test by going to the following address:
www.nhs.uk
Experts explained that if we all looked at our hearts, we could avoid 80% of heart attacks and strokes in people under 75. They stress that "the test is not diagnostic, it will not tell you whether you will suffer a heart attack, but it may awaken you to make some changes in your life."
The health of our heart can be improved in the following ways;
Stop smoking
Exercise (about 150 minutes a week)
Managing our weight
Eat more fibre
Do not eat saturated fat
Eat five servings of fruits and vegetables a day
Eat fish
Do not drink too much alcohol
Read the labels on the packaging of food and drinks we buy to avoid unnecessary sugars and fats
